Ginseng Chicken Herbal Soup helps:

1 or Half Chicken
20g American Ginseng
20g Solomon's Seal (Yu Zhu)
20g Goji Berries
6 Red Dates
2 Honey Dates (Optional)
A Pinch of Salt
1.5L Water


1. Rinse the Chicken and cut it into large pieces.

2. Put the chicken and all other ingredients except Goji Berries, including American Ginseng, Solomon's Seal (Yu Zhu), Red Dates, and Honey Dates (Optional) into the pot. Pour in water and bring to a boil.

3. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting and leave it to simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours.

4. In the last 10 minutes of cooking, add in Goji Berries. Season with salt to taste.
